GSH Community Outreach

Giving back to the community is an inherent attribute of the GSH Group. A prime example of this is Daniel Lovegrove of Team Q Maintenance Limited, a GSH Group company.

Daniel performed some volunteer maintenance for St. Mays’s Church in Fen Drayton, England. Illustrated above is Daniel hard at work and the finished product – nicely done Daniel!

GSH’s UK Soccer Stars

In the spirit of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, we wanted to share a little bit of soccer from our own corner of the globe!

Team Q Maintenance Limited, a GSH Group company, has recently sponsored UK-based U15 soccer team, the Needingworth Colts, a local Cambridgeshire team playing in the Huntingdonshire FA League. We love their jerseys and wish them the best of luck throughout their season!

2022 Holiday Season Has Begun

Tis’ that time of year for getting into the holiday spirit! GSH’s own Joe Annino, attended the Boston Properties 36th Annual Building Lighting Ceremony & Carnival, celebrating the beginning of the holiday season. With the buildings decorated in over 17,000 lights, former San Francisco Mayor, Willie Brown, flipped the switch and continued the tradition of turning on the lights since 2003.

The event yielded a great crowd of Boston Properties tenants and vendors, all who enjoyed the festivities, fireworks, music, and good company!

Training to Achieve Premier Facilities Management and Engineering Services

Training is an essential element to providing premier facilities management and engineering services. By working with manufacturer’s representatives like GS Dunham, to facilitate inhouse training programs for our teams of technicians, our personnel are instructed in how to install and optimize technical HVAC and boiler system components. This week, our technicians visited GS Dunham’s facilities in Queens, NY to train on variable vacuum systems hardware used in supplying heating and hot water to NYC’s public housing complexes. A special note of thanks to GS Dunham for making this a successful event!

GSH continues to evolve and adapt its maintenance and related training programs incorporating more efficient procedures to provide troubleshooting and repair services to our clients. This includes a series of inhouse training sessions and working groups throughout the year. Some of the topics we cover are pipe fitting, system tracing, basic thermodynamics, control valve maintenance/service, field feedback, Maximo utilization including mobile app and handheld devices training, and more.

Did You Know… GSH Vehicles

Did you know… in 1962, we introduced our first fleet of vehicles to better serve our customers near and far! Since then, we’ve made a few upgrades. Today, our fleet is characterized by traditional workhorses like the Ford Explorer and Toyota Tacoma’s.

In our efforts to be sustainable, we’ve introduced flex-fuel vans and most recently acquired Tesla’s to go electric. No matter the vehicle, our client commitment remains the same and you can rest easy when you see the GSH colors in your parking lot.
